José del Cármen Ramírez López has been connected to coffee cultivation since he was twelve years old. For the past 29 years, he has cultivated coffee sustainably on his farm in Guadas, nestled beside the lush forest of the San Francisco River Reserve.
His farm is alive with the vibrant sounds of nature, as colorful birds like guacharacas, cardenales, atrapamoscas, copetones, and yátaros accompany the production, creating a harmonious ecosystem that enhances the coffee-growing experience.
Working alongside his family—his wife Dioselina, their two children, and a grandson—José embraces the joy of nurturing the land together. They pour their hearts into each harvest, understanding that their sustainable practices not only yield quality coffee but also preserve the beauty of their surroundings.
