I come from a long line of farmers, with my family deeply rooted in agricultural life. As a third-generation coffee grower, I currently live with my wife, Lesly Chocue, and our three children on our farm, Renacer. My parents, Abelardo Socorreño and Carmenza Paya, instilled in me a profound love and dedication for the land. At just 15, I started with my first coffee plot. By 19, driven by a desire to enhance our coffee’s quality and profitability, I began studying coffee quality and cupping. My goal has always been to refine our farm’s processes and improve our income from coffee sales. Proudly, my family and I are part of the Paez indigenous reservation of Gaitania. I take immense pride in my community and am committed to furthering my education and training more young people from our region. I aim to elevate the quality of our coffee and showcase the vibrant life of the Nasa community.
