| Cupping Notes: | Six years ago, at Finca El Pino, I began the dream of becoming an excellent coffee farmer alongside my wife Leyda Yolimar Melo and our two children, Javier Stiven and Hanna Zulayma. From a young age, I helped my father with all the tasks involved in coffee cultivation. I grew motivated to continue my parents' legacy, and after their passing, I became the administrator of my own business. Through hard work and dedication, I expanded the coffee farm to 1.82 hectares, which currently produce 2500 kilos of CPS. With support from extension services and knowledge of the coffee quality produced in the region, I have improved the traditional methods used in coffee production and processing. I also decided to participate in the Tierra de Diversidad contest, where I am proudly a finalist. Currently, I am working on improving the processing structures to enhance the coffee quality. My commitment is to continue improving and to encourage other coffee farmers to actively participate in such contests. I am grateful to God, my family, and the National Federation of Coffee Growers for creating these contests to help our coffee gain national and international recognition." |
