Don Edison Ramírez López was born on August 28, 1990, in the municipality of Pitalito, Huila, specifically in the corregimiento of Bruselas. He is 34 years old, the father of two children, Jefferson and Victoria, and husband to Diana Milena Valderrama. He is the second of five siblings (Marly, Víctor Andrés, Jorge, and Jesús), the result of the love and marriage of his parents, Don Víctor Félix Ramírez and Doña Blanca Ruby López, both coffee growers and well-known figures in the area. Since he can remember, his father taught him to love the land and coffee farming. This is why, in 2013, he decided to study Agricultural Business Administration, which became the gateway to start working and training with his family on differentiated coffees with varietals such as Geisha, Bourbon Rosado, Bourbon Aji, Catuai, Castillo, and Caturra. These coffees are sold to commercializers or exporters, betting on different agronomic management practices with both chemical and organic fertilizations, as well as biological phytosanitary management, with coffee plantations under shade and windbreak barriers. He has actively participated in coffee contests and fairs at the national level, standing out in the three opportunities at the "Taza de la Excelencia" (Cup of Excellence), where he received several recognitions for his effort and dedication in the comprehensive care of coffee. He is currently a finalist in the 10th edition of the COLOMBIA LAND OF DIVERSITY, where his goal is to take first place and showcase the hard work he is doing in sustainable and differentiated coffee farming with clean production.
