I was raised on my parents' coffee farm. Although I worked as a health promoter, I always had a great passion for coffee cultivation. Over 35 years ago, my husband and I bought the farm and started planting Typica coffee. Later, with the help of technicians, we renewed it with Colombia and Castillo varieties. I trained in specialty coffees and got certified with RFA, then 4C and Café Practices. We replaced the old processing area with an ecological one and learned to process the coffee properly. I have enjoyed participating in competitions and have reached the finals on several occasions. My family—my husband and grandchildren—supports me in the cultivation tasks, along with local family workers.
