This is the second time that Martha Cecilia Camacho Calixto has become a finalist in the most important quality competition in the country, Colombia Tierra de Diversidad. Consistency and family teamwork were key to achieving this result. An hour away from San Gil, the tourist capital of Santander, by an unpaved road lined with coffee farms, in the mountains of the municipality of Curití, is Hacienda Cafetera El Rodeo, the farm of the Reyes Camacho family. Mrs. Martha has the farms La Quinta and Villa Bemar registered in SICA. There are approximately 160 hectares (all the family farms), of which 120 are cultivated with coffee of different ages and varieties: Castillo, Geisha, Sidra, and Bourbon Rosado are the varieties that this coffee-growing family from Santander, with Araucanian roots, has been committed to for 15 years. But it is not only Martha who is dedicated to coffee cultivation. Alfonso Reyes, her husband, is responsible for managing the farm and overseeing the plantations. Carolina, Cristian, and Manolo, the children, are involved in the processing process, particularly in fermentation, quality, and coffee commercialization. With a smile and surrounded by her family, Martha says, "We are very happy to be finalists again, especially when all of my family is involved and lives in love with coffee.
