Milton Leonardo Monroy, born in the department of Tolima, is the son of a mother from Tolima and a father from Boyacá. From an early age, his life has been connected to the countryside and agriculture, influenced by his family's dedication to this noble work. He is an agro-industrial engineer graduated from the University of Tolima, a profession that has allowed him to deepen his knowledge of agricultural production systems and innovation within the coffee-growing sector. In 2005, his family decided to move from the municipality of El Líbano to the city of Ibagué in search of new opportunities. A year later, in 2006, they acquired the San Pedro farm, where they started an ambitious coffee project with the aim of improving the quality of the coffee and optimizing production processes. Milton is a third-generation coffee grower, following in the footsteps of his paternal grandfather and father, who dedicated their lives to coffee cultivation. His commitment to coffee growing goes beyond family tradition; he advocates for innovation, sustainability, and excellence in every stage of the process, from planting to commercialization of the beans. His vision is to position Tolima coffee as a national and international benchmark for quality, promoting responsible agricultural practices and the development of his community.
